Before & After

I am in the process of working on a big project.  Decorating more than one room takes sooo much time (especially with a 16 month old as my design assistant!). lol  Anyhow, we are working slowly but surely, little by little.  I have the sun room complete and almost the master bedroom.  Just waiting on roman shades to be made in the master and it will be complete with some added accessories.  I absolutely love doing this, and hope I have several jobs ahead in the future. :)

Still need to get new ceiling fans.

Minus the curtains, box fan and workout equipment! lol  The roman shades are being made and we will get a chaise that they had in their living room recovered in a neutral fabric.  We tried to go for a much lighter, airier look.  Still a work in progress, but we will eventually get there.

Jax's Nusery

Ok, I really don't have an excuse!  I'm just a bad horrible blogger!  Anyhow, I finally took some pictures of Jax's room.  When I was pregnant with my little booger, we didn't know if we were going to get a sweet little girl or our wonderful rambunctious little man.  I wanted to keep it a surprise, since its one of the true surprises in life.  So, I had to keep the nursery neutral.  It actually ended up looking a little more boy, but I just knew I was having a boy the whole time (not really knew, thought).  If "peanut" (that's what we called the baby when I was pregnant) was a girl, I was going to add a chandelier, girly rug, monogram, etc. it would have worked! lol  So happy it turned out to be my little man's room instead. :)

I had my amazing and meticulous husband paint stripes on the walls.  I love the way they turned out.

My wonderful friends made my door hanger for the hospital.  I got so many compliments on it!  Love yall!
They also made my diaper cake.  Isn't it adorable??!!

I hung a picture of Chase and I when we were babies in Jax's room when I was pregnant.  The plan was to replace them with pictures of him, but I thinks it's kinda neat to have our pictures and see so much of him in us.

Jax's 1st Birthday Party

We had Jax's 1st Birthday Party on May 7th at my parent's house.  We did a Safari theme and a pool party.  Everything went really smooth and it was a great first birthday!  Like I said, I went a little overboard, but he's my baby! :)  From the pictures, it looks like the pool and yard has been that way for a while....wrong! lol  The pool was finished the Tuesday before the party and the landscaping was finished at 6:00 pm on Friday!  I was freaking out a little, but couldn't say too much because it wasn't even my house. lol  Thank you mom and dad for letting us have the party there and putting in a pool for your grandbaby! :)  Needless to say, I don't think I will blow out the rest of his birthday's like this.....that's the story for now! ha

I made the cupcake toppers a little too detalied.  They are super cute, but took forever! lol
Mrs. Collins (one of my good friend's mom) made the cupcakes and they are sooo delicious!  I can't thank her enough for doing that! :)

Momma's Birthday Boy!

These are the animal cut outs my lovely husband made!  Aren't they adorable?  My original plan was to put them in Jax's room one day, but they are much too big for that.  If you know anyone that is interested in buying them, let me know! :)

My dad and Jax's Daddy Nick!  Thank you for getting everything together Dad and Mom, love you!

I had my friend, Natalie with http://www.timefliesphotos.com/ come out and take pictures at the party.  I knew I would be running around like a crazy person and wanted to make sure we would have a lot of pics for the memories.  This was the best money we spent on the party! ;)

We love our little guy so much and are so thankful for him!!

My baby is 1!

Happy Birthday to my amazing little man, Jax!  I can't believe my baby is one today!  It's so exciting and sad at the same time how fast a year flies by.  I really don't know what we did before we had our Jax!  We are beyond blessed to have such a perfect, healthy and loving little boy.  I am so excited to watch him grow up (just not too fast).  His birthday party is this Saturday.  I might have gone a little overboard, but hey, you only turn 1 once! :)  His birthday is Safari theme and I had Chase cut out large animals out of plywood and paint them.  He was less than thrilled of my project for him, but of course got the job done.  Thanks Chase!  I will post pictures soon of the party.  I really am going to try to be better at blogging.  Work is slowing down for summer and I might be able to come up for air.  I have a couple of design projects that I've been working on and will post asap.  :)
